I'm Wendy Weight Mason and I am starting this blog in an effort to collaborate with others on collecting the history of Grandpa, George Fredrick Weight. I would love to find stories and photos. I also want to make it available to those descendants of Grandpa, who want to learn more about him and his family. I will post photos and stories not just from what I find with my dad, Frank, who is Fred's youngest son, but I would like to post stories and pictures from others as well. Somewhere in France

 Fred is the back middle.
The back of this Photo says, "October 12, 1918 Somewhere in France"
Frank has the originals of these photos.
I believe the story is that the Artillery basketball team from Camp Lewis played against another team and for winning the game they were given a pass while in Europe.
 I think that Frank has found a personal history for Fred, as soon as I get it I will post it here on the blog. That will hopefully clarify my story.
