I'm Wendy Weight Mason and I am starting this blog in an effort to collaborate with others on collecting the history of Grandpa, George Fredrick Weight. I would love to find stories and photos. I also want to make it available to those descendants of Grandpa, who want to learn more about him and his family. I will post photos and stories not just from what I find with my dad, Frank, who is Fred's youngest son, but I would like to post stories and pictures from others as well. Postcard to Olive Childs


Postcard reads:
Sayre PA     July 5, 1918
                                                              Dear Grandma,  this      
 makes the twelfth state 
of Canada we have passes
 through. We are having 
a fine trip. I hope your
 arm is better by now. 
Tell all hello, Love 
            G.F. Weight
Frank has the original.
I am guessing that this may have been sent while he was on his way to the East Coast to get on a boat to sail for Europe, after being at Camp Lewis in Washington State.
